چکیده

Objective: Current research is aimed to emphasize the use of bio-based composites in form thermal insulation, achieving complete degradability. Low density bio-composites have gained moderate importance as its development primitive stage because processing and preparation issues. Methods: A preliminary investigation carried out based on results selected reinforcements Eggshell (ES), Groundnut Pod (GP), Paper Cellulose (PC) with Tamarind Seed Gum (TSG) binder justify behaviour terms conductivity, resistivity diffusivity various compositions; also conducted morphological characterization molecular level bonding phenomenon. The fungal predominant addressed by additives, additive samples are tested analysed for change properties. Findings: experimental motivated PC reinforcement further investigation. compositions synthesized testing. average ‘k’ obtained from ES, GP, 0.13, 0.083 & 0.052 W/mk respectively. depicted promising contrast commercially used insulation materials. Novelty: Considering harmful effect non-degradable materials, an attempt made this synthesize a new completely biodegradable composite material insulation. NUMERICAL TECHNIQUES FOR DIFFERENT THERMAL INSULATION MATERIALS

The objective of this work is to predict the temperature of the different types of walls which are Ferro cement wall, reinforced cement concrete (RCC) wall and two types of cavity walls (combined RCC with Ferrocement and combined two Ferro cement walls) with the help of mathematical modeling. The property of low thermal transmission of small air gap between the constituents of combine materials...

Thermal degradation and fire behaviour of thermal insulation materials based on food crop by-products

Natural thermal insulation materials developed from renewable crop by-products and natural binders are analysed in terms of their thermal degradation and fire behaviour. A pyrolysis combustion flow calorimetre (PCFC) is used to characterise some kinds of crop by-products, including rice husk, corn pith and barley straw. This technique is complemented with a TG analysis. Six thermal insulation m...

Evaluation of Thermal and Thermomechanical Behaviour of Bio-Based Polyamide 11 Based Composites Reinforced with Lignocellulosic Fibres

In this work, polyamide 11 (PA11) and stone ground wood fibres (SGW) were used, as an alternative to non-bio-based polymer matrices and reinforcements, to obtain short fibre reinforced composites. The impact of the reinforcement on the thermal degradation, thermal transitions and microstructure of PA11-based composites were studied. Natural fibres have lower degradation temperatures than PA11, ...

Determination of the Thermal Resistance of Pipe Insulation Material from Thermal Conductivity of Flat Insulation Products

New European product standards now include a mandatory requirement for manufacturers to declare the temperature-dependent thermal conductivity for each insulation used in building equipments and industrial installations. For pipe insulation systems, the measurement is usually performed by a standard pipe test method, in which the value on a large temperature range is integrated to reduce temper...

Thermal-insulation performance of low density polyethylene (LDPE) foams: Comparison between two radiation thermal conductivity models

The loss of energy especially in industrial and residential buildings is one of the main reasons of increased energy consumption. Improving the thermal insulation properties of materials is a fundamental method for reducing the energy losses. Polymeric foams are introduced as materials with excellent thermal insulation properties for this purpose. In the present study, a deep theoretical invest...
